The Ocean Blvd Story
Pacific Coast funk band Ocean Blvd started as a jam session in Coos Bay, Oregon featuring several semi-pro musicians seeking creative outlets for their artistry. Many musicians passed through these sessions, but only the funkiest and best stuck around. Starting with the funkiest cover tunes they soon incorporated originals and popular covers, and after many months of jamming (and prodding by friends and family) the musicians decided to take their funky grooves to the masses by performing Ocean Blvd's inaugural public gig in March of 2022. The word got out about a powerful new groove pulsating along the Oregon coast, and it spread quickly throughout the region as Ocean Blvd blasted onto the Northwest music scene. Since that time, Ocean Blvd have performed throughout Oregon and Washington, laying down the funk and putting dancers on the dance floor. Original arrangements, a powerfully funk-infused set list, and stellar musicianship make Ocean Blvd the band most likely to shake your booty.
